Watch the scene in which Katniss shoots an arrow into the apple in the pig's mouth during the Gamemakers' feast. What was the motive behind her actions? How did this bold act of rebellion affect her in regards to the Hunger Games? In other words, did shooting the arrow into the apple help or hinder her chances in the games?
During the scene, in which Katniss shoots her bow & arrow at the apple in the pig’s mouth during the Gamemaker’s feast was very big part in the movie. The Gamemakers stopped watching her after she missed the target the first time, so she shot it towards them to get their attention. Katniss should have gotten in trouble for her “rebellion” against the capitol, possibly trying to hurt them. It was later shown, that she got a higher score for her “stunt” she pulled. It actually helped her out that she shot the bow & arrow at the Gamemakers, because she got a higher score, possibly helping her gain more sponsors once she starts the hunger games. In my opinion, it definitely helped her more than hurt her for shooting the bow & arrow at the Gamemakers because she got a high score, and didn’t get in trouble for it. The only person that was displeased with Katniss’ actions was Effie. This “scene” didn’t really effect how she performed in the hunger games, it helped her out because her high score could gain her more sponsors, but it didn’t affect how she actually did, even though she ended up winning.
ReplyDeleteThe motive behind her actions were winning the games for her family and friends. This bold act of rebellion affected her in regards to the hunger games because the gamemakers didnt like her therefre they added muttations and fire balls directed in her position in the tree. shooting the arrow into the apple did not help her at all.
